EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL

(C22, Cronberry) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026

On 25 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order,

Temporary Road Closure - C22, Cronberry,

from the C22’s junction with Riverside Gardens for 40m towards the A70.

The Order commences on 07 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence on 07 September 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 25 September 2026 at 17:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

An alternative route will be signed via C22 - Coal Road - Main Street - B7083 - Rigg Road - Peesweep Brae - Muirkirk Road - C22 and vice versa.
