Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Horsmonden, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Mytle Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Lamberhurst Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Station Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 West Road, A262 The Plain, B2079 North Road, Ballards Hill, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Lamberhurst Road and vice versa.
B2188 Fordcombe Road, Fordcombe (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow box and meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a mandatory 30 MPH speed limit on through traffic on part of B2188 Fordcombe Road, Fordcombe, on or after 15th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
B2188 Fordcombe Road, Fordcombe shall have a temporary mandatory 30 MPH speed limit imposed, in the vicinity of Langton Park Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. The current 60 MPH speed limit will be suspended for the duration of these works.
College Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of College Drive, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 2nd September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Sandrock Road, for a distance approximately 45 metres, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, Benenden (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily impose a 40 MPH temporary mandatory speed limit on through traffic on parts of Dingleden & B2086 Rolvenden Road, Benenden, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed. The current 60 MPH speed limits will be suspended for the duration of the works.
The current speed limit on Dingleden will be suspended from the junction with Rolvenden Road, for a distance approximately 10 metres in a South direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The current speed limit on B2086 Rolvenden Road will be suspended from near Beacon Mill House, for a distance approximately 270 metres in a West direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Frog Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1UP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Frog Lane, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Little Mount Sion to outside property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:
Diversion 1 - Frog Lane, B2023 High Street, Little Mount Sion, Berkeley Road and Frog Lane.
Diversion 2 - Frog Lane, Berkeley Road, Mount Sion, B2023 High Street and Frog Lane.
Hospice in the Weald Run, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow the Hospice in the Weald Run event to be held, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th September 2026 for up to 1 day or until the event has been completed.
Various Roads, Royal Tunbridge Wells will be closed between the hours of 09:00 and 12:30 only as detailed below:
Church Road will be closed between A264 Mount Ephraim and A26 London Road.
Mount Ephraim will be closed between A264 Church Road and A264 Bishops Down.
Bishops Down will be closed between A264 Mount Ephraim and A264 Langton Road.
Langton Road will be closed between A264 Bishops Down and Holmewood Ridge.
Holmewood Ridge will be closed in its entirety.
Broom Lane will be closed between Holmewood Ridge and Hillswood Road.
High Rocks Lane will be closed between Tea Garden Lane and Hungershall Park.
Hungershall Park will be closed in its entirety.
Major Yorks Road will be closed between Nevill Park and A26 London Road.
Castle Road will be closed in its entirety.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 London Road, A26 Eridge Road, London Road, Summersales Hill, Lye Green, B2188 Plumyfeather Lane, B2188 Cherry Gardens Hill, B2188 Hendal Hill, B2110 Withyham Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill, A264 Langton Road and vice versa.
Little Mount Sion, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PEDESTRIANS) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow chamber and ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Little Mount Sion, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside property number 19 to outside property number 17. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any pedestrian traffic is via Frog Lane, Berkeley Road, Mount Sion and vice versa.
Marle Place Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marle Place Road, Horsmonden, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Mytle Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marle Place Road, Ruck Lane, B2162 Lamberhurst Road and vice versa.
Middle Field, Pembury, TN2 4BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Middle Field, Pembury, on or after 1st September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between property number 1 and property number 4. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.
Mount Pleasant, Clayhill Road & Free Heath Road, Hook Green, TN3 8LU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water mains works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Mount Pleasant, Clayhill Road & Free Heath Road, Hook Green, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 177 days or until the works have been completed.
Mount Pleasant will be closed from the junction with Clay Hill Road, for a distance approximately 170 metres. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mount Pleasant, Clayhill Road, B2169 Furnace Lane, B2169 The Down, B2100 The Slade, B2100 Town Hill, B2100 High Street, B2162 The Broadway, B2162 School Hill, Parsonage Lane, Mount Pleasant and vice versa.
Clayhill Road will be closed from the junction with Mount Pleasant to the junction with Furnace Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clayhill Road, Mount Pleasant, Parsonage Lane, B2162 School Hill, B2162The Broadway, B2100 High Street, B2100 Town Hill, B2100 The Slade, B2169 The Down, B2169 Furnace Lane and vice versa.
Free Heath Road will be closed from the junction with Furnace Road to in the vicinity of Old School House.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Free Heath Road, Neills Road, Buckland Hill Lane, Sleepers Stile Road, Bartley Mill Road, B2169 Furnace Lane, Free Heath Road and vice versa.
Water Lane, Hawkhurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Water Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 16th September 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Cold Store, Baretilt Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Water Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, A268 Rye Road, Water Lane and vice versa.
