What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (THE CLOSE, ASCOT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from travelling along:
a) The Close, Ascot in both directions
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this Order will be via: N/A – No through route
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Affinity Water to carry out water mains repairs
The proposed Order will come into operation on the 22nd September 2026, and its maximum duration will be 6 months. However, it is currently planned that the road closure will be in place on the 22nd – 24th September 2026
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
