Gwnaeth Gyngor Sir Ddinbych Orchymyn a fyddai’n weithredol am gyfnod o chwe mis yn dechrau ar 1 Mawrth 2026, sydd yn gwahardd cerddwyr rhag defnyddio’r hawliau tramwy a nodir yn yr Atodlen isod.

Mae’r rheswm dros gau’r llwybrau yn ymwneud â risgiau diogelwch cynyddol yn sgil newidiadau i amserlen Network Rail, sydd wedi arwain at gynnydd yng nghyflymder ac amlder trenau.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER ROAD

TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1B)

Denbighshire County Council made an Order effective for a six month period commencing from 1 March 2026, which prohibited pedestrians from using the rights of way stated in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closure relates to increased safety risks due to changes in the Network Rail timetable, which has led to increased train speeds & frequency.

The current Order expires on 1 September 2026. The Order will be extended for a further six month period until 1 March 2027, with the approval of the Welsh Ministers using powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991).

Schedule of Rights of Way to be closed in the Prestatyn Community, Denbighshire.

From Sandy Lane across the railway crossing to its junction with the area known locally as The Morfa’s, Grid Ref SJ 06005 83032 to SJ 05797 82745

(Approximately 385m).
