Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Gammons Farm Lane, Newchurch (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gammons Farm Lane, Newchurch, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Lane and From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gammons Farm Lane, Chapel Lane, Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch Town Boundary To Eastbridge Road, From Newchurch To Newchurch Town Boundary and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, CT20 9EX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pleydell Gardens, Folkestone, on or after 14th September 2026 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the rear of 119 and 121. The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cheriton Place, Sandgate Road, Shakespeare Terrace and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
South Lodge Road, Stelling Minnis (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026
To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of South Lodge Road, Stelling Minnis, on or after 1st September 2026 until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of South Lodge Hill and Gildridge Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gildridge Hill, Fryarne Park, South Lodge Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
