SECTION 14 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (AS AMENDED)

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE NEW BRIGHTON AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council have made the above order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable proposed works to be executed on or near the roads specified in the proposed order (having already advertised notice of intent).

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

King’s Parade (Slip-road) and Atherton Street (Southbound) (Temporary Road Closure) New Brighton Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to (i) close the section of one-way linking King’s Parade to the junction of Atherton Street and Pilots Way, New Brighton to all vehicular traffic. (ii) to prohibit traffic travelling in a southbound direction between King’s Parade and Wellington Road on Atherton Street.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: King’s Parade, Portland Street, Wellington Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 07 September 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 September 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION ORDER IN THE WALLASEY AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Wright Street (Rear Access) (Temporary Road Closure) Wallasey Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close the rear access of Wright Street, Wallasey at its south-east corner to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Wright Street, Tobin Street, King Street, Kinglake Road.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 14 September 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 September 2026.

NOTICE OF MAKING TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION

ORDER IN THE HESWALL AREA 2026

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council intend to make a Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 1 and Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers to enable works on or near the roads specified in the proposed order to take place.

The effects of the order, the alternative route for vehicular traffic, the date the order comes into force and its maximum duration is set out below.

Sandy Lane (Temporary Road Closure) Heswall Order 2026

The effect of this order will be to close Sandy Lane, Heswall from its junction with Pensby Road for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction to all vehicular traffic. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route: Pensby Road, Whitfield Lane, Sandy Lane.

Maximum Duration of the order: From 14 September 2026 and will continue to be in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 25 September 2026.

WIRRAL BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPITAL ROAD, BEBINGTON (PROHIBITION OF U-TURN MANOEUVRES) ORDER 2026

SCHEME REF NO. TO/26/16

Notice is hereby given that Wirral Borough Council (“The Council”) in exercise of its powers intends to make the above-named Order under Section 1, 2, 3 and Part III & IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order, if made, will be to prohibit vehicles from making U-turn manoeuvres on Spital Road, at the crossroad junction with Brimstage Road, Church Road, and Poulton Road, Bebington at any time. The prohibition is proposed in the interests of road safety and the efficient movement of traffic through the junction. Exemptions will apply to emergency service vehicles.

The extent of the restriction is as set out below and shown on the plan attached to the draft Order. The plan is provided for the purposes of identifying the location and extents of the proposal and is referred to by a plan number for ease of reference.

Prohibition of U-Turn Manoeuvres

No persons shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding on Spital Road, at the crossroad junction with Brimstage Road, Church Road, and Poulton Road, Bebington, to make a U-turn manoeuvre at the junction, at any time, as shown on deposited plan DC1036100A.

The above documents are deposited and available for inspection by visiting the licencing department, at the Councils Principal Office: Wallasey Town Hall, Brighton St, Wallasey CH44 8ED between 9.30am & 12pm and 2pm & 4pm, Monday to Friday, quoting the above scheme reference.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Wirral Borough Council has on the 24th of August 2026 made the below Traffic Regulation Orders under Section 1, 2, 3 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended):

(A) (WALLASEY AREA) (WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT NO 2) 2026

Revocation of a formal disabled persons parking bay located outside 38 Hampstead Road, Wallasey.

AMENDMENT TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The revocation of the disabled bay currently operating at all times and on all days on Hampstead Road, Southeast side, From a point 135 metres southwest of the junction with Whitington Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 7 metres.

(B) WIRRAL BOROUGH COUNCIL

(BIRKENHEAD AREA) (WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO 1) 2026

Revocation of a formal disabled persons parking bay located outside 141 Woodchurch Road, Oxton.

AMENDMENT TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The revocation of the disabled bay currently operating at all times and on all days on Woodchurch Road, east side, From a point 21 metres north of the junction with Highgreen Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 7 metres.

(C) WIRRAL BOROUGH COUNCIL

(BIRKENHEAD CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) ORDER, 2008 (AMENDMENT NO 1) 2026

The reduction in the length of the existing limited waiting parking bay on Cole Street and introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The proposed Order will amend Schedule 2 & Schedule 5 of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral (Birkenhead Controlled Parking Zone) (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) Order, 2008 to introduce no waiting for vehicles at any time restriction on all days on the west side of Cole Street, From its junction with Claughton Road for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction and; to reduce the existing limited waiting bay on Cole Street, West Side so that it will extend from a point 14 metres south of its junction with Claughton Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 21 metres
