(PROHIBITION OF WAITING/RESTRICTION OF LOADING) (REVOCATION)ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 18 August 2026 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on 19 August 2026. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading Monday to Friday 7.00am - 10.00 am & 4.00pm - 7.00pm at Abney Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Cambridge Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. 

Holly Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Heathfield Avenue, North Side: From its intersection with the south western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south westerly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Heathfield Avenue, South Side: From its intersection with the south western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south westerly direction for a distance of 21.5 metres. Wellington Road North, South West Side; From a point 23.5 metres north west from its intersection with the projected northern kerbline of Victoria Grove in a north westerly direction to its intersection with the southern kerbline of Ellesmere Road North.

Wellington Road North, North East Side; From a point 5 metres south east from its intersection with the southern kerbline of Brook Road in a north westerly direction to its intersection with the southern kerbline of Manchester Road. Brook Road, Both Sides; From its intersection with the north eastern side of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. 

Heaton Moor Road, South East Side: From its intersection with the south western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction to its intersection with the northern kerbline of St Albans Avenue. Heaton Moor Road, North West Side: From its intersection with the south western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction to its intersection with the projected southern kerbline of St Albans Avenue. School Lane, South East Side: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 50 metres. 

School Lane, North West Side: From its intersection with the North eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 53 metres. Claremont Avenue, Both Sides: From its intersection with the South western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction for a distance of 15 metres. No Waiting at Any Time at Manchester Road, South West Side: From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of Holly Road in a south easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

B5169, North West Side: From a point 7 metres south west from its intersection with the projected southern kerbline of Grange Avenue for a distance of 27 metres in a north easterly direction. B5169, North West Side: From a point 10 metres south west from its intersection with the western kerbline of Nelstrop Road in a north easterly direction to a point 10 metres north east from its intersection with the eastern kerbline of Newlstrop Road. Farm Close, Both Sides: From its intersection with the western kerbline of Nelstrop Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 5 metres. Downham Road: From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of B5169 in a south easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Revoke No Waiting at Any Time at Downham Road: From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of B5169 in a south easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres. B5169, South East Side: From a point 10 metres south west from its intersection with the south western kerbline of Downham Road to a point 10 metres north east from its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Downham Road. Revoke No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading Monday to Friday 7.00am -10.00am & 4.00 -7.00pm: Manchester Road, South West Side: From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of Holly Road in a south easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres. Abney Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. Cambridge Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the north eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

Brook Road, Both Sides: From its intersection with the eastern side of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 15 metres. 

Heaton Moor Road, South East Side: From its intersection with the western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction to its intersection with the northern kerbline of St Albans Avenue. Heaton Moor Road, North West Side: From its intersection with the western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction to its intersection with the projected southern kerbline of St Albans Avenue. School Lane, South East Side: From its intersection with the eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 50 metres. 

School Lane, North West Side: From its intersection with the eastern kerbline of Wellington Road North in a north easterly direction for a distance of 53 metres. Claremont Avenue, Both Sides: From its intersection with the western kerbline of Wellington Road North in a south eastern direction for a distance of 15 metres. Revoke No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8.30am - 9.30am and 4.30 - 6.30pm at Manchester Road, South West Side: From its intersection with the south eastern kerbline of Holly Road in a south easterly direction for a distance of 10 metres.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
