ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(A650 WRENTHORPE BYPASS, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER (NO  252) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield have made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow for carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out as follows:-

ROADS AFFECTED: A650 Wrenthorpe Bypass, Wakefield outbound between Paragon Avenue roundabout and M1 junction 41 Carr Gate Interchange, to allow single lane working between the Police Control Centre and junction 41 roundabout.

SPEED LIMIT: Temporary 30 MPH speed limit.

PERIOD OF ORDER: From and including 00.01 on 24th August 2026 to 23.59 on 5th September 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

(SCHOOL LANE, HORBURY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 261) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new water connection to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: School Lane, Horbury outside number 8. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of School Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: High Street, Cluntergate, Cross Street, Peel Street.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th September 2026 to 11th September 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
