THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (B1230 BETWEEN GILBERDYKE AND HOWDEN) (50 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make a Road Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which will be to introduce a 50 mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads:
Road Extent
B1230, Howden From a point 54m southeast to Gilberdyke of the north western kerbline of the splitter island of Longs Corner Roundabout to a point 174m west of the western kerbline of Sandholme Road, a total distance of 7,505m.
Long Lane, From the northeastern Eastrington kerbline of the B1230 Main Road to a point 38m north east of the north east kerbline of the B1230 Main Road, a total distance of 38m.
Dick Lane, From the southwestern Balkholme kerbline of the B1230 Main Road to a point 23m southwest of the southwestern kerbline of the B1230 Main Road, a total distance of 23m.
Greenoak Lane, From the southern kerbline Gilberdyke of the B1230 Main Road to a point 54m south of the southern kerbline of the B1230 Main Road including the eastern slip road between Greekoak Lane and the B1230 Main Road, a total distance of 54m.
2. A copy of the draft Order, relevant plan and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection at Goole Customer Service Centre, Goole Library (inside), Carlisle Street, Goole, DN14 5DS. A copy of the street notice and annotated illustrative drawing have been placed on the council’s website (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management and Road Safety). 3. Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds for objection, should be emailed to traffic.consultation@eastriding.gov.uk or sent in writing to Traffic & Parking Services, Directorate of Prosperity & Place (Ref: TMN2608), Beverley Depot, Annie Reed Road, Beverley, HU17 0LF by 17 September 2026.
