Notice Of Making - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) - THE LONDON BOROUGH OF NEWHAM - Network Rail Bridge Replacement Phases 1 And 2 (Various Roads E7) - (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2026

1. THE NEWHAM LONDON BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it made an Order, Network Rail Bridge Replacement Phases 1 and 2 (Various Roads, E7) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026. The general effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrian traffic from proceeding or waiting on the public highway.

2. The Order is made to enable Network Rail and its contractors to carry out substantial works to bridges and structures located on or near the highway. The prohibition will apply from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 9th September 2026 until 23:59 hours on Tuesday 8th March 2028 or upon completion of the works whichever is the sooner.

3. The general effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles not connected with the works from entering parts of the scheduled roads listed below at such times when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016(c).

4. Pedestrian access to premises will not be affected.

5. Nothing in this Order shall apply to vehicles being used for Fire, Ambulance or Police purposes, or with the permission or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform, or a suitably authorised officer. Nothing in paragraph 2 of the Order shall apply to vehicles necessarily used in connection with the works.
