EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
(A713 Bellsbank Road/ Ayr Road, B741 Main Street/ High Main Street, B7013 High Street, Dalmellington) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 25 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to BT cabling and ducting works.

A713 Bellsbank Road/ Ayr Road - From 39/40 Bellsbank Road to Community Centre Access road (Both Sides of Carriageway)
B741 Main Street - From its junction with Bellsbank Road to Main Street Roundabout (Both Sides of Carriageway)
B741 High Main Street - From Main Street Roundabout to boundary of 13/15 High Main Street (Eastern side of carriageway only)
B7013 High Street - From Main Street Roundabout to junction of Townhead (Both Sides of Carriageway). The Order commences on 07 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.
To minimise inconvenience, the works will be carried out in phases and are expected to commence from 07 September 2026 at 08:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 18 September 2026 at 17:00. Days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
On 25 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to facilitate road slip and bridge repair works.
Temporary Road Closure – U37 Milton Road,
Crookedholm - Road Closed from Grougarbank House to Meadow Cottage.
The Order commences on 03 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 03 September 2026 at 07:00 with the closure remaining in place until 02 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will be affected and access will be maintained via diversion route only.
Access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route only.
An alternative route will be signed via U37 - U38 - C33 - A719 - A71 - B7073 - Grougar Road - U37 and Vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2026
On 20 August the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow contractors to allow Refurbishment of the St Germaine -En- Laye Gardens Band Stand building.

On 20 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order,to allow Scottish Water Works.
Temporary Road Closure – Montgomerie Street, Girvan
From Church Square to junction with McMillan Court.
The Order commences on 07 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 07 September 2026 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 14 September 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Access for Emergency Services ,residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained via diversion route.
An alternative route will be signed via Hamilton Street- Bridge Street and vice versa.

On 20 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish power works.
Road Closure – Millbrae,
from junction with B7024 Alloway for its entirety (155m).
No Waiting At Any Time – Millbrae, from junction with B7024 Alloway for it’s entirety (155m - both sides of carriageway).
The Order commences on 07 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 07 September 2026 at 08:00 until 02 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained However, delays may be experienced to allow vehicular access through works site.

On 20 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Scottish Power Works.

From junction with Marchfield Quadrant to junction with A79 Prestwick Road (63m)

The Order commences on 08 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 08 September 2026 at 00:01 until 02 October 2026 at 17:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services access will not be affected.

On 20 August 2026 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to enable resurfacing works to be undertaken.
Temporary Road Closure – Bellevue Road, Prestwick From its junction with Sandfield Road to its junction with Adamton Road North.
The Order commences on 07 September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 07 September 2026 at 08:00 until 17 September 2026 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained when possible to do so.
An alternative route will be signed via Sandfield Road, St Quivox Road, Adamton Road North and vice versa.
