1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of The London Borough Of Newham on 24 August 2026 made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be to remove short lengths (approximately 2.5 metres) of parking places from the following locations in order to facilitate the installation of new cycle hangars:
Boleyn CPZ – Boston Road, E6, the west side, adjacent to No. 202 Masterman Road; Burford Road, the east side, adjacent to No. 104 Haldane Road; Chesley Gardens, E6, the east side, adjacent No. 67 Henniker Gardens; Geoffrey Gardens, E6, the east side, outside No. 21 Geoffrey Gardens;
Canning Town North CPZ – Sheppard Street, E13, the east side, adjacent No. 35 Bethell Avenue;
East Ham CPZ – Wall End Road, E6, the west side, on the south side of its junction with Caulfield Road;
Forest Gate CPZ – Windsor Road, the south side, outside No. 98 Windsor Road;
Forest Gate North CPZ – Cemetery Road, E7, the south-east side, adjacent to No. 142 Tower Hamlets Road; Chestnut Avenue, E7, the south-east side, opposite Nos. 71/73 Chestnut Avenue;
Market Street CPZ – Basil Avenue, E6, the east side, adjacent to No. 90 Pulleyns Avenue; Gillett Avenue, E6, the north-east side, adjacent to No. 207 Central Park Road;
Plaistow North CPZ – East Road, E15, the west side, outside Nos. 6 to 26 East Road;
Plaistow South CPZ – Haig Road West, E13, the north-west side, adjacent to No. 19 Tunmarsh Lane; Jedburgh Road, E13, the north-west side, outside the Spectacle Works at 1A Jedburgh Road; Pragel Street, E13, the north-east side, opposite No. 7 Isabel Terrace, Pragel Street; Selsdon Road, E13, the west side, adjacent to No. 727 Barking Road;
Prince Regent CPZ – Botha Road, E13, the north-east side, opposite No. 34 Botha Road;
Stratford Central CPZ – Carnarvon Road, E15, the east side, outside Nos. 49 to 54 Carnarvon Road; Maryland Park Road, E15, the east side, outside Nos. 5 to 22 Saffron Court, 2A Maryland Park Road;
Stratford Northeast CPZ – Clova Road, E7, the south side, adjacent to No. 14 Atherton Road; Knox Road, E7, the north side, opposite Nos. 26/28 Knox Road; Knox Road, the north side, adjacent to No. 15 Margery Park Road; Margery Park Road, E7, the east side, adjacent the western boundary of No. 224 Romford Road; Warwick Road, E15, the west side, adjacent to No. 111 Ham Park Road; and
Stratford Northwest CPZ – Brydges Road, E15, the west side, adjacent to No. 82 Henniker Road; Colegrave Road, E15, the south-east side, adjacent to the north-western boundary of No. 158 Major Road.
Note: The Changes Proposed On 11 September 2024 To Facilitate Cycle Hangars At The Following Locations Will Be Abandoned:
Custom House CPZ – Alnwick Road, E16, the south side, opposite the flank wall of Nos. 101 to 111 Baxter Road; King George Avenue, E16, the north-east side, opposite No. 48 King George Avenue;
East Ham CPZ – Shakespeare Crescent, E12, the north-west side, 13.1 metres south-west side of its junction with Kensington Avenue;
East Ham Southwest CPZ – Saxon Road, E6, the west side, adjacent to No. 138 Roman Road;
Forest Gate North CPZ – Odessa Road, E7, the south-west side, opposite No. 150 Odessa Road; Talbot Road, E7, the south-east side, adjacent to No. 99 Dames Road;
Little Ilford CPZ – Daines Close, E12, the north-west side, outside Nos. 2 to 16 Daines Close; Dersingham Avenue, E12, the west side, adjacent to No. 49 Elsenham Road;
Market Street CPZ – Hockley Avenue, E6, the north-east side, adjacent to Nos. 236 to 242 Barking Road;
Plaistow South CPZ – St. Quintin Road, E13, the north side, adjacent to No. 25 Cave Road;
Prince Regent CPZ – Belgrave Road, E13, the north-west side, adjacent to No. 41 Prince Regent Lane; and
Stratford Northwest CPZ – Brydges Road, E15, the west side, adjacent to No. 65 Chandos Road; Campbell Road, E15, the south-west side, adjacent to No. 19 Trevelyan Road; Chandos Road, E15, the south side, adjacent to the northern boundary of Nos. 84 to 112 Major Road.
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 1 September 2026 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, are available for inspection by appointment during normal office hours, at: Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or by emailing: traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk, for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
