NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN Leicester City Council ("the Council") HAS MADE an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 5 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effects of the proposed Order are:

If you wish to question the validity of the Order (which was made on 26th August 2026) or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 26th August 2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO EFFECT ON 31ST AUGUST 2026

These proposals are intended to help to ensure safe traffic flow taking account of the additional traffic movements at the Loughborough Rd/Meadows Way junction, generated by the new housing development and taking account of its use by deliveries and customers visiting the Bestway cash and carry. The formal reason for these proposals is for facilitating the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 28TH DAY OF AUGUST 2026

Andrew L Smith Director of Planning Development and Transportation, Leicester City Council, City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester, LE1 1FZ
