What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Robbery Bottom Lane, Oaklands) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Robbery Bottom Lane, Oaklands from its junction with White Horse Lane south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Broom Hill, a distance of approximately 987m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via White Horse Lane, Mardleybury Road, B197 (London Road/Mardley Hill), Lower Mardley Hill and Robbery Bottom Lane.

Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Bridge Road, Woolmer Green) Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bridge Road, Woolmer Green from its junction with B197 London Road north westwards to its junction with Hall Lane, a distance of approximately 26m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via B197 London Road, Heath Road, Canonsfield Road, Pottersheath Road, Spinney Lane, Wych Elm Lane and Bridge Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Meadway, Cuffley) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Meadway, Cuffley from its junction with B156 Station Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 486m ("the Road"), except for access.

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Station Road, Hatfield) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Station Road, Hatfield from its junction with Bulls Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 195m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Station Road, Dixons Hill Road, A1000 Great North Road, Hawkshead Lane, Bluebridge Road, Bradmore Green and Station Road.

The Order is needed because ducting works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

The Hertfordshire (Tewin Road, Welwyn Garden City) (Restriction Of Waiting) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Welwyn Garden City as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Thursday 27 August 2026.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be viewed from 26 August 2026 to 7 October 2026 during office hours, at: Main Reception, Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, or online at: www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders, by selecting Welwyn Hatfield and looking at Ref: WH00526.

The Hertfordshire (Various Roads, County Of Hertfordshire) (Revocations) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to revoke an existing Order no longer relevant in the County of Hertfordshire as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 31 August 2026.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to revoke various existing Orders no longer relevant in the County of Hertfordshire as specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order will come into effect on Monday 31 August 2026.

The Trunk Road (Cycle Tracks at Green Lanes and Stonehouse Junctions, Hatfield) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 1966
