(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle to proceed along HARFORD STREET between its junction with Barr Street and its junction with Great Hampton Street.
As part of this Order, it will also be necessary to prohibit vehicles from proceeding in a south-easterly direction along Barr Street, from its junction with Hockley Street to a point 20 metres north-west of its junction with Harford Street.
The temporary Order is required to facilitate the construction of a development.
Access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 4th September 2026 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
