EXPERIMENTAL ORDER, 2026 (Modification No.1) 2026
Notice is hereby given that Stoke on Trent City Council ("the Council"), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), proposes a modification to the above order in respect to the extents of the school street operating outside Hillside Primary School located in Field Avenue, Milton and introduce double yellow lines at the junction of Goms Mill Road and Byatts Grove
This Order was originally made on 06 February 2026 and became operational on 23rd February 2026
The modifications will be to
(i) Extend the existing School Street Scheme pertaining to Hillside Primary to include Stoneycroft which will prohibit vehicular access Mon- Fri 8.15am-9.15am And 2.45pm-4pm with the exception for authorised vehicles
(ii) Introduce double yellow lines on Goms Mill Road at its junction with Byatts Grove for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and 15 metres in a southerly direction. From 26th August 2026 a copy of this Notice, a plan illustrating the extended proposals, and a copy of the Order and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the Order may be inspected online at: https://stoke.traffweb.app/
The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Within a period of six months from 2nd September 2026 or if the Order is subsequently varied by another Order (under Section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or modified pursuant to sub-section (2) of Section 10 of the Act), from the coming into operation of those variations or modifications (whichever are the latest), any person may object to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation.
Any such objection must be in writing, quoting reference DF/TM/ETRO1-2026mod and must give the grounds on which it is made and must be emailed to: traffic. or ders@stoke.gov.uk or in made in writing to Traffic Section, Directorate of Housing, Regeneration & Operations, Civic Centre, Glebe Street, Stoke, ST4 1HH.
