Temporary Closure of Station Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Station Road - from 695 metres south of the junction with Perry Street, south-eastwards for a total distance of 133 metres.

This Order will enable Southwest Overhead Services to replace a pole on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 9th September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th September 2026 and last until 15th September 2026 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 2 days.
