ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HIGH STREET AND MARKET PLACE, GARSTANG, WYRE BOROUGH) (REVOCATION LIMITED WAITING AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 13th August 2026 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the "Lancashire County Council (Various Roads, Garstang, Wyre Borough) (Part Revocation, Prohibition of Waiting and Restriction of Loading/Unloading) Order 2011" insofar as it relates to:
a) Item g) of Schedule 3;
b) Item b) of Schedule 7.
2. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in High Street, Garstang, the east side, from a point 122 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Croston Road for a distance of 74 metres in a southerly direction.
3. Introduce a restriction of waiting Thursday between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) High Street, Garstang, the east side, from a point 196 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Croston Road to its Centreline junction with Market Place;
b) Market Place, Garstang, the east side, from its Centreline junction with High Street for a distance of 52 metres in a southerly direction.
4. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 30 minutes with no return for 30 minutes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) High Street, Garstang, the east side, from a point 196 metres south of its junction with the Centreline of Croston Road to its Centreline junction with Market Place;
b) Market Place, Garstang, the east side, from its Centreline junction with High Street for a distance of 52 metres in a southerly direction.

This Order will come into force on the 28th August 2026. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Wyre Borough Council, Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
