ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PART OF
HOLME ROAD, MARKET WEIGHTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Holme Road, Market Weighton between its
junctions with Bow Bridge Close and Glenfield Avenue
commencing 25 September 2026 between 08.00
hours until 17.00 hours for the purposes of access to
CSO to undertake maintenance work.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring
the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
completed within nine hours. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the road closure will be via:
Holme Road, York Road, A1079 Giant Bradley Way and
A1079 Holme Road Roundabout, Market Weighton CP,
Wolds Weighton Ward. The diversion route will be
signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed
to all through traffic but access will be maintained for
residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
