What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Order,
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Castle Street, Coseley) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in a northbound direction on Castle Street, Coseley, for the purpose of safely facilitating works to a new development being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 07.09.2026 and will remain in force until 02.10.2026 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Northbound traffic will be diverted via: Castle Street and Green Street.
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Hagley Road, Stourbridge) Order 2026 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Hagley Road, Stourbridge, for the purpose of carriageway resurfacing being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 08.09.2026 and will remain in force until 13.09.2026, from 19:00 until 03:00 each night, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: New Road, Worcester Road, and Heath Lane; OR Heath Lane, Worcester Street, New Road, Bath Road, and St Johns Road; OR Glasshouse Hill, Brook Road, Granger Road, Grange Lane, Pedmore Road, Stourbridge Road, Birmingham Street, and St Johns Road.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do
so.
