What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(SANCTON ROAD, MARKET WEIGHTON)
(40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026
1.On 26 August 2026, East Riding of Yorkshire
Council made this Order which will be operative
from 26 August 2026, the effect of which will be
to prohibit vehicles from proceeding at a speed
exceeding 40 mph on the following length of road:
Sancton Road From a point 37m from the
(A1034), southern kerbline of Wold
Market Weighton Road in a south-easterly
direction for a total distance
of 580m.
2. A copy of the Order and relevant plan may be
examined during normal office hours at Market
Weighton Customer Service Centre, 14 Beverley
Road, Market Weighton, YO43 3JP.
3. If you wish to question the validity of this Order or
of any provision contained within it on the grounds
that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that
any requirement of that Act or any instrument made
under it has not been complied with in relation to the
Order, you may, within six weeks from 26 August
2026 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
