THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED MOTORISTS) (VARIATION NO 3) ORDER 2026  - TO/R5.3.195

The Council on 17 August 2026 made the above Order, which will come into force on 31 August 2026. The effect is to add further enforceable parking bays for disabled motorists to the existing Order which lists all such bays in Midlothian.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED MOTORISTS) (VARIATION NO 4) ORDER 2026  - TO/R5.3.196

The Council on 17 August 2026 made the above Order, which will come into force on 31 August 2026. The effect is to remove from the Parent Order ‘Disabled’ parking bays which are no longer needed, and to make these spaces available for general parking.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of either Order on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with, may until 28 September 2026 make application for this purpose to the Court of Session.

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (CASTLE AVENUE/LADY EMILY WAY/ RIVER GORE VIEW, GOREBRIDGE) (TEMPORARY 10MPH LIMIT) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R 5.4.351

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to ensure the safety of road users, the public and residents and safe movement of construction traffi c to the site of the new Persimmon Homes development, a 10MPH speed limit will be in operation on the below noted roads. The Order will be in place for the maximum duration of 18 months and effective from 21 August 2026.

Note:

•  Castle Avenue – from the junction with Hunterfield Road to Lady Emily Way

•  Lady Emily Way – from the junction with Castle Avenue to River Gore View

•  River Gore View – full length

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (C43 SOUTHFIELD ROAD, COUSLAND) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026 - TTRO/R 5.4.347

Notice is hereby given that Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate the installation of a new BT duct service, C43 Southfi eld Road will be closed from its junction with U47 Bellyford Road to Pardivan Cottage. The Order has effect on 25 August 2026 and shall remain in force up to and including 14 September 2026. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be clearly sign posted.
