(DUNSLEY TERRACE, SOUTH KIRKBY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 247) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for sewer lining and patching works to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Dunsley Terrace, South Kirkby, between numbers 11 to 19. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Dunsley Terrace.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Holmsley Lane, Holmsley Avenue, West Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2026 to 28th August 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 248) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for pole testing to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Common Road, South Kirkby, from the junction with Holmsley Lane approximately 326 metres eastwards. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Common Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Holmsley Lane, White Apron Street, Mill Lane, Common Road & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for collapse on Yorkshire Water Network to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ferrybridge Road, Pontefract, for approximately 22 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Ferrybridge Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Mill Dam Lane, North Baileygate, South Baileygate, Bondgate, Knottingley Road, Pontefract Road, Ferrybridge Road, Fishergate, The Square & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th August 2026 to 28th August 2026 between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 250) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for disconnection of electricity supply to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Rookhill Road, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Rookhill Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Rookhill Road, Chequerfield Mount, Chequerfield Drive, Rookhill Drive & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th August 2026 to 31st August 2026 between 07.00 hours to 17.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Residents access to be maintained where possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 251) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for the installation of new vehicular access crossing for new development area to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Barnsley Road, Hemsworth one way from the junction with Market Street for approximately 200 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Barnsley Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Market Street, Southmoor Road, Hemsworth Bypass, Barnsley Road.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 27th August 2026 to 29th August 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BROADWAY TERRACE, SOUTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 260) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for sewer lining and patching works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Broadway Terrace, South Elmsall, between numbers 1 to 32. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Broadway Terrace.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Pedestrian access will be maintained, residents vehicular access will be maintained when safe to do so.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 4th September 2026, between 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ST HELEN’S PLACE, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 262) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas main replacement works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: St Helen’s Place, Castleford. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of St Helen’s Place.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 9th September 2026 to 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(NEW ROAD, OLD SNYDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 263) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for trial holes for utility works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: New Road, Old Snydale at the junction of Common Side Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of New Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Diversion to Loscoe Lane roundabout.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th September 2026 to 10th September 2026 and again on 14th September 2026 to 17th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
