What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders and will commence when the appropriate signs are erected. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.

VARIOUS ROADS, NORTH KILWORTH AND HUSBANDS BOSWORTH 

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 4 weeks to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

SCHEDULE 1

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC

Lutterworth Rd, North Kilworth between South Kilworth Rd & High St. Pincet Ln, North Kilworth & Husbands Bosworth for its entire length.

GREEN LANE, CLAYBROOKE PARVA

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 24/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 1 day to allow BT Openreach to undertake infrastructure maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be via: A5, Watling St, Penn Ln, Green Ln & vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ORDER 2026

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 14/09/2026 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works may last for up to 10 days at each location to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC INCLUDING PEDESTRIANS, EQUESTRIANS & NON-MOTORISED TRAFFIC

Newbold Ln, Newbold in Owston; Front St, Gaulby; Rd from Mowsley Rd to Gumley Rd, Gumley; Fleckney Rd, Kibworth Beauchamp; Old Hall Ln, The Green, Lubenham; Foxton Rd, Wistow; Long Close Ln, Laughton - for their entire lengths.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY

Footpath D102, Houghton on the Hill for its entire length.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 28/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 1 day to allow BT Openreach to undertake infrastructure maintenance works.

The Order will come into force on 25/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 2 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highways maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2026

The Order will come into force on 24/08/2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works may last for up to 10 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
