(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION)
(ROAD PAST HIGHER FORDA & ROAD FROM THE HIGHWAYMAN INN HEADING NORTH, SOURTON) ORDER 2026 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 31/8/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 11/9/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: ROAD PAST HIGHER FORDA & ROAD FROM THE HIGHWAYMAN INN HEADING NORTH, SOURTON, FROM JUNCTION OF A386 TO FORDA FARM BARN
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - A386, ROAD FROM MOOR VIEW TO SOURTON DOWN, ROAD PAST HIGHER FORDA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: INSTALLING DUCT IN CARRIAGEWAY.

Roads affected: WHITCHURCH ROAD, TAVISTOCK The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - WHITCHURCH ROAD, ANDERTON LANE, A386 PLYMOUTH ROAD, A386 DRAKES ROUNDABOUT, A386 PLYMOUTH ROAD, A386 ABBEY PLACE, WHITCHURCH ROAD & VICE VERSA.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: RESURFACING WORKS. INCLUDES PARKING SUSPENSION ALL ALONG SECTION OF ROAD BEING CLOSED.

Roads affected: ROAD FROM SUMMERS MOOR CROSS TO SHORESGATE CROSS [A3124], ROAD FROM PARK FARM TO SHORESGATE CROSS & ROAD FROM COULSON CROSS TO SHORESGATE CROSS [A3124], BROADWOODKELLY & WINKLEIGH THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: PLANNED DRAINAGE WORKS.
