CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(MARSTON ROAD, LIDLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Marston Road, Lidlington 20m either side of the level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable an annual inspection and a re-rail to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11pm on the 19th September 2026 to 11am on 20th September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Marston Road, The Lane, Church Street, Station Road, Sheep Tick End, Bedford Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road, Bedford Road, Station Road, Martson Road and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(CHURCH ROAD, WESTONING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Road, Westoning at the junction with The Grove.

This temporary closure is required to enable comms pipe repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place on 14 to 16 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure. Access for residents will be maintained.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wellsfield, Blunham between High Street and number 2.

This temporary closure is required to enable junction realignment and resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place for approx. 2-3 days between the dates 14 to 25 September 2026 between the hours of 0800 and 1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Saunders Piece, Ampthill between Chiltern Close and Lea Road.

This temporary closure is required to enable Carriageway Patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 16 September between the hours of 0930-1400. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Cornwall Rd, Dukes Rd, Queens Rd and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(NEWLANDS ROAD, WESTONING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of each of the following roads: Newlands Road, Westoning.

This temporary closure is required to enable Pre Patching, Micro surfacing and white lining works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 14 September to 27 November 2026 between the hours 0800-1800. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

(SILVERBIRCHES LANE, ASPLEY HEATH)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of each of the following roads: Silverbirches Lane, Aspley Heath between Church Road to Heath Lane.

This temporary closure is required to enable Gas Main Replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 14 September to 30 November 2026 for 24hrs a day.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Silsoe Bypass, Silsoe at Park Avenue Bridge.

This temporary closure is required to enaable bridge inpection work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. It is expected that the works will take place on Sunday 13 September 2026 between the hours 0800-1800  The road will be closed at all times during this period.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Queens Road, Ampthill between number 17 and number 2.

This temporary closure is required to enable sluice valve replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1 September to 3 September 2026. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route will be via Dukes Road, Neotsbury Rd, Oliver St and vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Salford Road, Aspley Guise for 20m either side of level crossing.

This temporary closure is required to enable level crossing survey works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 1st to 3rd September 2026 between the hours of 2130 and 0500hrs. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure will be via Cranfield Rd, Wavendon Rd, Salford Rd, A421, Bedford Rd, Salford Rd and vice versa.

This temporary closure is required to enable GPR surveys & vegetation management works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 25 September 2026 between the hours of 0900  and 1500. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Marston Road, The Lane, Church Street, Station Road, Sheep Tick End, Bedford Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road, Bedford Road, Station Road, Martson Road and vice versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(PULLOXHILL: PART OF FOOTPATH NO 12)

( TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER  2024

Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire Council on 16 February 2024 to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of part of public Footpath No 12, Pulloxhill which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 0667 3355 at its junction with Footpath No 22, Pulloxhill in generally south easterly direction for approximately 752 metres to OS GR TL 0727 3349 at its junction with Barton Road has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 26 August 2027.

This temporary closure is required as there is a broken bridge at OS GR TL 0702 3342. The closure is expected to continue from 27 August 2026 for a further twelve months or until a new bridge or culvert has been installed.

The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be:

From OS GR TL 0667 3355 proceed in a north easterly direction along Footpath Nos 22 and 8, Pulloxhill to OS GR TL 0690 3375 and Barton Road, then continue to OS GR TL 0692 3380 along Footpath No 10, Pulloxhill.
