Hangers Way / Hawkley Hanger Bridleway – Temporary Diversion Notice
The Hangers Way walking route will be temporarily diverted at Hawkley Hanger Wood (SU 738 293) from 14th September 2026 until completion of works, expected by 28th September. This diversion is necessary to allow felling of diseased and hazardous ash trees along the route, improving safety for path users and supporting the long-term health of the woodland. The diversion will be marked and will follow a field margin to an alternative footpath.
Please follow the signed route at all times and observe any temporary signage for your own safety.
We apologise for any inconvenience during the works.
