(VARIOUS ROADS, CARLTON AND GEDLING)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2026 (G26-161)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Carlton and Gedling in the Borough of Gedling
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Chesterfield Avenue, Gedling - For its entirety
b. Westcliffe Avenue, Gedling - For its entirety
c. Buntings Lane, Carlton - For its entirety
d. Wheatley Drive, Carlton - For its entirety
e. Kilisick Road, Carlton - From its junction with Gleneagles Drive to its junction with Parry Way
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road:-
a. Chesterfield Avenue, Gedling - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- For its entirety
b. Westcliffe Avenue, Gedling - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- For its entirety
c. Buntings Lane, Carlton - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- For its entirety
d. Wheatley Drive, Carlton - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- For its entirety
e. Kilisick Road, Carlton - (Both Sides) (At Any Time)- From its junction with Gleneagles Drive to its junction with Parry Way
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 00:01 hours Wednesday 9th September 2026
Until 23:59 hours Saturday 30th October 2026 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

The Order will come into force on Wednesday 9th September 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out works to do carriageway resurfacing works;
