NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland
County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6114 Station Cottages Morpeth from its junction with U6114 Bankside in a southerly direction for a length of 85 metres and then in an easterly direction for a length of 100 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective on the 15th September 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 15th September 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 23:59 hours on the 15 September 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U6114 Bankside and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland
County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U2009 Elford Junction to Budle Bay Junction from its point outside Castle Point House heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 262 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 14th September 2026 until the 9th October 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 14th September 2026 until the 25th September 2026 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 9th October 2026.
The closure will be done in different sections in order to cause minimal disruption.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being U2009, B1342, C64, U2017 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U4080 Wellstrand from its junction with The Maltings heading in a northerly direction for a length of 56 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 4th September 2026. It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 1st September 2026 between the hours of 09:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 4th September 2026. There is no alternative route available for use whilst the TTRO is in force.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U3075 Davison Avenue from its junction with C111 Main Street heading in a north eastwards direction for a distance of 100 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 8th September 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 1st September 2026 between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th September 2026.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVENthat Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C358 West Low Farm Junction to Whalton from its junction with B6524 Bank Cottages in a southerly direction for a length of 405 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 24th August 2026 until the 19th February 2027. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th August 2026 until the 26th August 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 19th February 2027. An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C358, C153, B6524, and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C146 High House Road from its junction with B6524 Whalton to Morpeth Common Road heading in a north westwards direction for a distance of 460 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 4th September 2026 until the 18th September 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 4th September 2026 between the hours of 09:30 & 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 18th September 2026.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on the following section of road and to hereby bring into force a speed restriction on the following section of roads in the County of
Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st September 2026 until the 27th December 2026 Road Closure:
A697 Newtown Junction to High Learchild Junction
A road closure will be in place which will prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on the following section of road:A697 Newtown Junction to High Learchild Junction 210 metres south of its junction with U4092 continuing on for a further 410 metres.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st September 2026 until the 19th September 2026 however it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th December 2026.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A697, B6341, C90 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.
Speed Restriction:- (60mph down to 40mph)
A speed restriction will hereby further be in force which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60 mph down to 40mph and no person shall drive their vehicle in excess of 40 mph on the A697 Newtown Junction to High Learchild Junction 210 metres south of its junction with U4092 continuing on for a further 410 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The speed restriction will be in force at all times being the 20th September 2026 until the 27th December 2026 or at any point when the road is safe to be reopened. This is to protect the surface of the carriageway and for safety whilst the works are being carried out. DIVERSION ORDER 2026 The above Order was made on 5th August 2026, under section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act, 1980.
The effect of the Order will be as follows: Public Footpath No 3 (Morpeth Town)
To extinguish the footpath 25 metres south-east of 18 Oakleaf Crescent OS grid ref: NZ 16853 78603), in a general westerly direction for a distance of 320 metres, to a point 50 metres south-west of 8 Conker Way (NZ 16849 77882).
To create a 2 metre wide footpath, from a point 25 metres south-east of 18 Oakleaf Crescent (OS grid ref: NZ 20371 87329), in a general north westerly direction for a distance of 90 metres to a point 15 metres north-east of 12 Oakleaf Crescent (OS grid ref: NZ 20284 87383), then continuing in a general westerly direction for a distance of 130 metres to a point 25 metres east of 13 Conker Way (OS grid ref: NZ 20172 87335), then continuing in a general north westerly direction for a distance of 120 metres to a point 50 metres south-west of 8 Conker Way (OS grid ref: NZ 20054 87365).
