THE A30 TRUNK ROAD (KENNARDS HOUSE)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A30 trunk road in the County of Cornwall to allow Junction improvement and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place commencing on or after 5 September 2026 and be completed by 10 March 2027.
The effect of the Order would be to:
(a) impose a temporary mandatory 50 mph speed limit on the A30 westbound from 1000 metres east of Kennards House Junction to 150 metres west of Kennards House Junction and the westbound entry slip road at Kennards House Junction
(b) impose a temporary mandatory 40 mph speed limit on:
(i) the A30 westbound from 150 metres west of Kennards House Junction to 1400 metres east of Fivelanes Junction;
(ii) the A30 eastbound from 140 metres west of Fivelanes Junction to 1000 metres east of Polyphant Junction.
(iii) the westbound entry slip road at Two Bridges Junction;
(c) authorise the closure of:
(i) the westbound entry and exit slip roads at Plusha Junction;
(ii) the eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads at Two Bridges Junction;
(iii) the eastbound entry and exit slip roads at Polyphant Junction;
(iv) the westbound layby 400 metres west of Plusha Junction.
During the closures, traffic would be diverted via junctions of the A30 and Local roads.
The closures (which would not apply to emergency services, traffic officer or works vehicles) speed limits, and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order would come into force on 4 September 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
