(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lincolnshire County Council propose to make an Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting as set out in the Schedule below.
• To introduce mandatory school keep clear markings Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 2pm-4pm fronting the school entrance.
• To extend the no waiting at any time restrictions on Broadway and Manor Street around the school entrance.
• Introduce no waiting at any time restrictions at the junctions of Pelham Crescent and Victoria Road
• Introduce no waiting at any time restrictions at the junction of Manor Close and Manor Street.
• Introduce no waiting at any time on Church Lane, King Street and St Bartholomews Close junctions
Exemptions are included for the no waiting at any time restrictions which will permit waiting for disabled persons’ vehicles and for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers, loading or unloading of goods, the maintenance of the roads, and works in connection with the supply of gas, electricity, water and telecommunications apparatus.
The Order will come into operation on 27th August 2026 and a copy of the Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned with a Statement of Reasons can be requested. These documents can be supplied to you by emailing TRO@lincolnshire.gov.uk or calling our Customer Service Centre on 01522 782070 during office hours.
You may also be able to view these documents at the offices of West Lindsey District Council, during normal office hours.
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks after 21st August 2026 make application to the High Court for this purpose.
