What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CHURCH LANE, KIRK LANGLEY
WHEN: 16 September 2026 (between 09:15 to 15:00.)
WHERE: Church Lane, Kirk Langley, approx. 670m north of Petty Close Lane for approx. 230m.
REASON: To facilitate the renewal of decaying telegraph pole.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The Green, Long Lane, Moor Lane, Ashbourne Road, Church Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
