HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn Bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1.     Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 2ail Medi 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaith wedi'i gwblhau ar 2il Medi 2026.  

2.     Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i wneud Gwaith Nwy mewn modd diogel yn y lleoliad.  Bydd mynediad rhesymol yn cael ei gynnal ar gyfer eiddo sydd ar hyd y ffyrdd a effeithir arnynt tra y bydd yr heol ar gau  

3.     Effaith y Goechymyn fydd:
Cau rhan o Stryd Santes Fair, Trefynwy, Sir Fynwy dros dro, ~95m o'i chyffordd â Stryd Almshouse am ~100m.
Atal y system unffordd ar Stryd Whitecross, Trefynwy, Sir Fynwy dros dro o'i chyffordd â'r A466 Stryd Mynwy i'w chyffordd â Stryd Santes Fair. Cyflwyno system ddwyffordd ar Stryd Whitecross, Trefynwy, Sir Fynwy dros dro i ganiatáu mynediad/allanfa.  

4.     Bydd llwybr dargyfeirio fel a ganlyn: Stryd Almshouse, A466 Heol San Iago, A466 Sgwâr Sant Iago, A466 Stryd Whitecross ac i’r gwrthwyneb.  

5.     Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro Stryd Santes Fair a Stryd Whitecross Trefynwy, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

6.     Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST MARYS STREET AND WHITECROSS STREET, MONMOUTH, MONMOUTHSHIRE)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.     The Order shall come into operation on the 2nd September 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 2nd September 2026.  

2.     The order is necessary for Gas works to take place in a safe manner at the location. Reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the period of the closure.  

3.     The effect of the order will be:
I.      To temporarily close a section of St Marys Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, ~95m from its junction with Almshouse Street for ~100m.
II.     To temporarily suspend the one-way system on Whitecross Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire from its junction with A466 Mon Street to its junction with St Marys Street.
III.    To temporarily introduce a two-way system on Whitecross Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire to allow access/egress.  

4.     A signed diversionary route will be in place as follows:- Almshouse Street, A466 St James Street, A466 St James Square, A466 Whitecross Street and vice versa.  

5.     This order may be cited as the St Marys Street and Whitecross Street, Monmouth, Monmouthshire Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

6.     By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
