TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (EGERTON CRESCENT) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The Order will prohibit motor vehicles from proceeding or waiting in Egerton Crescent between a point outside No. 49 and a point outside No. 43.
The road will be closed to facilitate crane works.
The restrictions will come into force at 08.00 hours on Tuesday 8 September 2026 and remain in force until 18.00 hours on Thursday 10 September 2026.
If the works cannot proceed during that period, the restrictions may instead be brought into force from 08.00 hours on Tuesday 22 September 2026 until 18.00 hours on Thursday 24 September 2026.
The one-way working in Egerton Crescent will be suspended for the duration of the works to facilitate access from either end.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform; or
• anything done in connection with the execution of the said works.
