SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Charles Walk, Rowley Regis) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along Charles Walk (the stretch fronting No’s 2–12). Pedestrians will be diverted via Windsor Road, Charles Avenue, Charles Walk & vice versa. The maximum duration is 6 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 03/09/2026, effective from 01/09/2026. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Victoria Street, Wednesbury) (Temporary Cycle Lane Closures) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit bicycles from proceeding along the cycle lane in Victoria Street, which will be closed in both directions between the entrance (southwest side) to the Wednesbury Police Station Car Park and the car park entrance (northeast side) to property No.1 (factory unit). A diversion route will not be signed as this is a cycle lane closure, but cyclists will be requested to dismount on both approaches to the closure and use the footway to navigate the works area. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 14/09/2026, effective from 31/08/2026 (24hr). Traffic will be diverted via New Cross Street, Elliott’s Road, Waterloo Street & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 31/08/2026 (8am – 4pm only). Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Edgbaston Road, Waterloo Road & Cape Hill. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 01/09/2026 (9:30am – 3:30pm only). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Waterfall Lane, Cradley Heath) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Waterfall Lane, which will be closed one-way in a northerly direction from the junction of Perry Park Road to the north-eastern gable end of property No.100. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safetry permits. Traffic will be diverted via Perry Park Road & Highfield Road. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 03/09/2026 (9:30am-3:30pm). Purpose – to facilitate access to replace a defective manhole cover and frame by Customer Solutions Plus on behalf of

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Lingfield Court, Great Barr) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Lingfield Court, which will be closed from the junction of Hamstead Road for approximately 20 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Hamstead Road & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 28/08/2026 (9am – 3pm). Purpose – to facilitate access for maintenance works by M J Quinn. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Coppice Street, West Bromwich) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Coppice Street, which will be closed from its junction with Claypit Lane to west of its junction with Jervoise Street. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. Traffic will be diverted via Claypit Lane, Dudley Street, Jervoise Street & vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the work is expected to be completed by 22/09/2026, effective from 01/09/2026 (24hrs).
