Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 21 August 2026 and Friday 02 October 2026 the following roads will be closed at either 0600 to 1800 hours or 1800 to 0600 hours for a period of approximately one to two days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway maintenance, surfacing, hedging and quartering, lining and cats eye works, and any associated pro works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs.
These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2026
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1600 hours and 2200 hours, on Saturday 22 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner. A) No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Beatrice Avenue for its entire length. 2) Victoria Grove for its entire length; 3) York Avenue for its entire length. 4) Clarence Road for its entire length; 5) Minerva Road for its entire length. B) No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on both sides along 1) Beatrice Avenue for its entire length 2) Victoria Grove for its entire length. 3) York Avenue for its entire length. 4) Clarence Road for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the restrictions. The closure and restrictions are required for safety during East Cowes Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No parking and no Waiting and no loading at Any Time Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2026
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1700 hours and 2300 hours, on Wednesday 26 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed or wait along a) Culver Parade for its entire length; b) Sandown Esplanade for its entire length. The following roads will be closed as the parade proceeds – 1) High Street for its entire length; 2) Beachfield Road between its junctions with Royal Crescent and High Street; 3) Royal Crescent for its entire length; 4) Melville Street between its junctions with Royal Crescent and Fitzroy Street; 5) Fitzroy Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Station Avenue; 6) Station Avenue between its junctions with Fitzroy Street and Albert Road; 7) Albert Road between its junctions with Station Avenue and Victoria Road; 8) Victoria Road between its junctions with Albert Road and High Street; 9) Culver Parade for its entire length. The closure and restrictions are required for safety during Sandown’s Illuminated Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2026
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1500 hours and 1800 hours on Saturday 22 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner.
A) no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along 1) Tennyson Road between its junctions with River Road and Tennyson Close; 2) St James Street for its entire length; 3) Bridge Road between its junctions with St James Street and The Quay; 4) The Quay for its entire length; 5) Quay Street for its entire length; 6) Market Square for its entire length; 7) High Street between its junctions with Market Square and Basketts Lane; 8) Basketts Lane for its entire length; 9) Victoria Road for its entire length; 10) Station Road for its entire length; 11) Mill Road for its entire length.
B) no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along 1) Bridge Road between its junctions with St James Street and The Quay; 2) Victoria Road for its entire length; 3) Station Road for its entire length. This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Yarmouth Carnival Event. Alternative routes will be signposted.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 22 August 2026, between 2000 hours and 2300 hours, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed or wait along, 1) Hope Hill for its entire length; 2) Esplanade for its entire length. The closure and restriction are required for safety during the Shanklin Regatta Fireworks. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
