What is happening?

ORDER 2026
LOWGATE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Lowgate, between the junction of Alfred Gelder Street and the junction of Guildhall Road, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during installation of new district heating network on Lowgate to connect up pipework along Wilberforce Drive to Alfred Gelder Street.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.
The Order will come into effect 7th September 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 7th September 2026 and 11th October 2026.

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL
CONTROLLED PARKING ZONEA AND 1A AMENDED ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The purpose of the proposed Order is the amendment of the existing Zone A and A1, to improve parking management within the Zone and to prevent all-day parking and ensuring that existing maximum stay restrictions operate as intended (three hours waiting, no return within four hours, 8.00am to 6.30pm on all days).
The proposals also introduce minor amendments to parking and traffic management arrangements, including the provision of taxi and loading bays and associated restrictions. The overall parking provision within the area will remain substantially unchanged.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.
