Droxford Road, East Meon, East Hampshire - Temporary restrictions due to utility works
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Droxford Road between a point 567 metres Northwest from its junction with Hyden Farm Lane and continuing to a point 231 metres West on Droxford Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Droxford Road, Old Winchester Hill Lane, Hayden Lane, A32, High Street, East End, West Meon Road, Church Lane, Church Street, High Street, Clanfield Road, Hyden Farm Lane.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 7th September 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).
