(ROAD CLOSURE AND NO WAITING) (168/67)

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council intends to make the above Order.

1. The effect of the Order will be:

a) To close Priory Road from its junction with Janaway Gardens to its junction with North Road.

b) To introduce no waiting restrictions as follows:

2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are to complete bridge strengthening and refurbishment.

3. The alternative routes will be Priory Road, South Road, Adelaide Road, North Road and Stanley Road.

4. The Order will come into force on 11th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 24th December 2026.
