TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026
On the 17th August 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises:
- the restriction of vehicular access on Maryville Gardens, Giffnock,
- the prohibition of parking on a section of Maryville Gardens, Giffnock - from its junction with Maryville Avenue north-westwards for a distance of approximately 25 metres (both sides).
The Order has been promoted in order to facilitate the safe operation of Scottish Power utility works on or near the road, scheduled to be carried out from 08:00 on Monday 28th September to 17:00 on Friday 16th October 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: No alternative route available.
The parking prohibition will be applied to sections of the road as and when required relative to the progress of the works and will apply to all vehicles with the exception of those associated with the works and emergency vehicles attending an incident.
