ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(KING STREET) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate utility works in the above-named road; it intends to make an Order the effect of which would temporarily prohibit traffic in the above-named road.
2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed no person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in a westerly direction on King Street between No. 158 to No. 172 to enter Studland Street at its junction with King Street.
3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided via Uxbridge Road, A402, Shepherd Bush Road and Goldhawk Road.
4. Exemptions would be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
5. The Order would come into operation on the 22nd September 2026 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
6. Works would be expected to commence on Tuesday 22nd September 2026 and last to the 23rd September 2026. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
