Westmorland & Furness - Multiple Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (BEECH DRIVE, LIME TREE ROAD, ULVERSTON AND U5094, SOUTERGATE) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the;

Beech Drive, Ulverston, from its junction with Lime Tree Road, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 65 metres.

Lime Tree Road, Ulverston, from a point approx. 45 metres north west of its junction with Oakwood Drive, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 65 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Lime Tree Road, Rake Lane, Priory Road (A5087) and Oakwood Drive.

Duration: From 9th September 2026 for approx. 2 weeks (Ref: TTROW/19658)

U5094, Soutergate, from a point approx. 185 metres north west of its junction with the A595, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 45 metres.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 9th September 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
