THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(MILL LANE) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Mill Lane in both
directions from outside property 69 to its junction with
End Hall Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 2 September 2026, between the hours
09:30 and 15:30 only.
The diversion route is: Wightwick Bank, Bridgnorth Road,
The Holloway, Church Road, School Road and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate a new connection
requiring engineers to work on overhead lines by BT
Openreach.
