THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(ASHLEY STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Ashley Street in
both directions between its junctions with Mount Pleasant
and Fraser Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken
from 1 September 2026 until 3 September 2026, between
the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only.
The diversion route is: Fraser Street, Newbolt Street,
Mount Pleasant and vice versa.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway repair works
by City of Wolverhampton Council.
