What is happening?
Borough of Telford & Wrekin
The Council proposes to make the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, Water Lane, Vineyard Road, Newport (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, whilst cable reinforcement works are being undertaken. The order becomes operational from the 1/9/26. The following roads are affected: Water Lane, Newport from its jcn with Lower Bar to its jcn with Vineyard Rd. Vineyard Road, Newport from its jcn with Water Ln to its jcn with Fishers Lock. The maximum duration is 18 months, but the works are expected to be completed by the 14/10/26.
Alternative routes will be signed on site.
