KIRKLEES COUNCIL - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

(GYNN LANE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Gynn Lane, Honley from a point outside property no. 42 to a point outside property no. 46 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Gynn Lane, Hall Ing Lane, Brockholes Lane, New Mill Road.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 8 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(MANSE DRIVE, COWLERSLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Manse Drive, Cowlersley from its junction with Cowlersley Lane to a point to the side of property no. 1 Manse Drive PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cowlersley Lane, Warneford Road. It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 8 September 2026 and remain in force until 16 September 2026 between 08:00 hours to 18:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HOLLIN HOUSE LANE/BAGDEN LANE, CLAYTON WEST, POOL HILL LANE/DRY HILL LANE, DENBY DALE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY REDUCTION OF SPEED) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed at a speed in excess of 20 mph in that length of Hollin House Lane/ Bagden Lane, Clayton West, Pool Hill Lane/ Dry Hill Lane, Denby Dale from its junction with Hollin House Lane Point Closure The following lengths of road at their junctions with Hollin House Lane/Bagden Lane, Clayton West, Pool Hill Lane/Dry Hill Lane, Denby Dale, Huddersfield:- Weatley Hill Lane, Clayton West Clough House Lane, Denby Dale It is intended that the restrictions shall commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 25 September 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(PARK ROAD WEST, CROSLAND MOOR, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Park Road West, Crosland Moor from a point outside property no. 24 to a point outside property no. 26 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Park Road West, Blackmoorfoot Road, Manchester Road. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 7 September 2026 and remain in force until 8 September 2026

(BROCKHOLES LANE, BROCKHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brockholes Lane, Brockholes from its junction with Ridings Fields to a point outside property no. 100 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Brockholes Lane, Moor Lane, Farnley Road, Storthes Hall Lane, Penistone Road, Thunder Bridge Lane, Birks Lane, Stocks Moor Road, Town Moor Lane, The Village, Thurstonland Bank Road, New Mill Road. It is intended that the closure will commence at 17:00 hours on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 and remain in force until 17:00 hours on 27 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(LIGHTENFIELD LANE, NETHERTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lightenfield Lane, Netherton from its junction with Corn Bank/Lightenfield Lane to its junction with Lightenfield Lane (leading to Hill Top Croft) PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. There is no alternative diversionary route available. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 24 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026 between 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(CALMLANDS ROAD, MELTHAM, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Calmlands Road, Meltham from a point outside property no. 71 to a point outside property no. 73 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Holmfirth Road, Tinker Lane, Heather Road, Heather Avenue. It is intended that the closure will commence at 21:00 hours on Monday, 24 August 2026 and remain in force until 07:00 hours on 25 August 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary). 

(GEORGE STREET, LINDLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of George Street, Lindley, Huddersfield from a point outside property no. 29 to a point outside property no. 27 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of George Street, East Street, Lidget Street, Holly Bank Road. It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 and remain in force until 27 August 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(HALIFAX OLD ROAD/GRIMESCAR ROAD, BIRKBY/FIXBY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Halifax Old Road/Grimescar Road, Birkby/Fixby from its junction with Halifax Old Road to its junction with Brighouse Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Halifax Old Road, Birkby Hall Road, Wheathouse Road, Blacker Road, Edgerton Road, Halifax Road, Brighouse Road. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 24 August 2026 and remain in force until 28 August 2026 between 19:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

(WOOD LANE, COLNEBRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Wood Lane, Colnebridge from a point adjacent Railbridge 5 to a point outside property no. 12 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Wood Lane, Huddersfield Road, Leeds Road, Copper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road, Bog Green Lane, Paul Lane, Helm Lane. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 24 August 2026 and remain in force until 5 September 2026 between 20:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
