Public Notices - Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (1) - Temporary Road Closure Cross Street, Barnes. (Reference 26/148)
1. The Council of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate sewer repair works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Cross Street, Barnes.
2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Cross Street, Barnes from outside number 8 to 22.
3. The order will come into effect 24 August 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 24 August to 28 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
4. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via: Archway Street, White Hart Lane, Charles Street, and vice versa.
5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for Police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (1) - Temporary Road Closure Glasbrook Avenue, Twickenham - (Reference 26/155)
1. The Council of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water works, they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Glasbrook Avenue, Twickenham.
2. Whilst the works takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Glasbrook Avenue, Twickenham outside number 27.
3. The order will come into effect 31 August 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 31 August to 02 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
4. There will also be parking suspensions in place as indicated by prescribed signage.
5. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via: Glasbrook Avenue, Ellerman Avenue, Chester Avenue, Lyndhurst Avenue, Glasbrook Avenue and vice versa.
6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

2. Whilst the works take place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Ham Common, Ham from the junction with New Road to the junction with Langham House Close.
3. The order will come into effect on 04 September 2026 These works are anticipated to be in progress from 04 September to 23 September 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
4. There will also be parking suspensions in place as indicated by prescribed signage.
5. Whilst the closure is in place an alternative route for traffic will be via: Ham Common, Upper Ham Road.
6. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

1. The Council of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water connection works, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Hanworth Road, Hampton.
2. Whilst the work takes place no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or stand in Hanworth Road, Hampton from outside and opposite numbers 195-211.
3. The order will come into effect on 24 August 2026. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 24 August 2026 to 28 August 2026. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

1. The Council of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to remove obstructive parking and due to the likelihood of danger to the public, they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Wyndham Crescent, Whitton.
2. Whilst the Order is in effect, waiting restrictions operating at any time will operate in lengths of Wyndham Crescent. Footway parking will be permitted in marked bays,

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames - (Prescribed Route) (Banned Turn) (No. 1) Order 2026 - Alexandra Road, Twickenham, Banned Right Turn From Cambridge Park - (Reference 25/182)
1. The Council of The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, on 19 August 2026 have made the above Order under sections 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Order will come into force on 24 August 2026.
2. The general effect of the Order is to continue in force indefinitely the banned right turn for north-west bound traffic in Cambridge Park into Alexandra Road. The restrictions will operate between 7:00am and 10:00am on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
3. Copies of particulars giving further details of the scheme: -
(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/182, at The Civic Centre, (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9:15am and 5:00pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and
(b) may be viewed on the Council’s website at: http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
