LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

5. There is no diversion route as the road is a cul de sac.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into force on Monday 14 September 2026 and it is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 18 September 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(BURSTOW ROAD AND DENIS PARK CRESCENT, SW20)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate lead pipe replacement works in Burstow Road and Denis Park Crescent, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.

2. During the works no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-

(a) enter or proceed in Burstow Road from the northern kerb-line of its junction with Denis Park Crescent (southern arm) generally north-eastwards for a distance of 200 metres; or

(b) enter or proceed in Burstow Road from the northern kerbline of the junction with Denis Park Crescent (northern arm) to the junction with Toynbee Road; or

(c) enter or proceed in Denis Park Crescent, its entire length; or

(d) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle, in the length or lengths of roads specified in sub-paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) above.

3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

4. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.

5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed via Lower Downs Road and Toynbee Road or vice versa.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into force on Monday 14 September 2026. The works are expected to be carried out sequentially in phases from 14 September 2026 to 20 October 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(MARRYAT ROAD AND SOMERSET ROAD, SW19)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works and the associated movement of heavy goods vehicles into a construction holding area off Marryat Road, SW19, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in Marryat Road and Somerset Road.

2. During the construction works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading in the roads or lengths of roads during the times and periods specified below.

(a) At all times -

(i) Marryat Road, north-west side, from a point opposite a point 0.2 metres north-east of the common boundary between Nos. 84 and 86 Marryat Road north eastward for a distance of 5 metres; or

(b) Monday to Friday between 1000-1600 and Saturday 0800-1300 -

(i) Marryat Road, south-east side from a point opposite a point 16.8 metres south-west of the common boundary between Nos. 84 and 86 Marryat Road south-westward for a distance of 10 metres; or

(ii) Marryat Road, south-east side, from a point opposite a point 39.1 metres south-west of the common boundary between Nos. 84 and 86 Marryat Road, south-westward for a distance of 6.2 metres; or

(iii) Marryat Road, south-east side, from a point opposite a point 79 metres south-west of the common boundary between Nos. 84 and 86 Marryat Road, south-westward for a distance of 6 metres; or

(c) At all times save for electric assisted pedal cycles being used in a public hire scheme operated under an agreement by the Council -

(i) Somerset Road, south-west side, from a point 38 metres north-west of the junction with Marryat Road, north-westward for a distance of 5.5 metres.

3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of road specified in paragraph 2 above would be suspended for the duration of the works.

4. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

5. Nothing in the Order would apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used in the execution of the said works or for the loading or unloading of construction delivery vehicles; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions.

6. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

7. The Order would come into operation on Friday 28 August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 12 months.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON

(VARIOUS ROADS) (NO. 13)

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate a programme of carriageway micro-resurfacing and general maintenance works to be undertaken in the roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice, they have made an Order, the effect of which, during the works, will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic from entering, proceeding or waiting, including in any parking places, in those roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice.

2. Any designated parking place situated in any of the roads or lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this notice will be suspended for the duration of the works in those roads or lengths of road.

3. Alternative routes for diverted traffic will be indicated by advance warning and diversion signs on the roads affected when the works are in progress.

4. Any vehicle that is in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or

(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or

(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of roads insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

6. The Order will come into force on Thursday 27th August 2026 and the anticipated works dates are specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this notice. However, the Order will remain in operation for a maximum period of 12 months and its provisions will be re-introduced should further works be required.
