TRANSPORT SCOTLAND

THE A85 TRUNK ROAD (METHVEN) (20MPH, 30MPH AND 40MPH SPEED LIMITS ) ORDER 202[]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing 20mph, 30mph and 40mph speed limits on the following lengths of road:

20mph Speed Limit
1. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Methven from a point 178 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with Culdeesland Road in a generally westerly direction to a point 157 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with James Street, a distance of 1.037 kilometres or thereby.

30mph Speed Limit
2. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Methven from a point 178 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with Culdeesland Road in a generally easterly direction to a point 90 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with Methven- Millhaugh - Buchanty Road, a distance of 162 metres or thereby.

40mph Speed Limit
3. That length of the A85 Perth – Lochearnhead Trunk Road at Methven from a point 157 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with James Street in a generally westerly direction to a point 507 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with James Street, a distance of 350 metres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of roads involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 21st August 2026 until 18th September 2026 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Fifth Floor, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER, Methven Post Office, 43-45 Main Street, Methven, Perth PH1 3PS and North Inch Community Campus Library, Gowans Terrace, Perth, PH1 5BF.

A copy of the Order, Plan, Statement of Reasons, revoked orders and this Notice will be available on the Transport Scotland website at: https://www.transport.gov.scot/NorthWestRoadOrders Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director of Roads, c/o Catriona Paterson, Transport Scotland, Fifth Floor, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER or via email to TRO-Objections@transport.gov.scot quoting reference NW/A85Methven/CP by 18th September 2026.

THE A85 TRUNK ROAD (ST FILLANS) (20MPH AND 30MPH SPEED LIMITS ) ORDER 202[]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to make the above Order under sections 82(2), 83(1) 84(1)(a) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of Part IV of schedule 9 of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing 20mph and 30mph speed limits on the following lengths of road:

20mph Speed Limit
1. That length of A85 Trunk Road at St Fillans from a point 20 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with Station Road to a point 112 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with Manse Lane, a distance of 800 metres or thereby.

30mph Speed Limit
2. That length of A85 Trunk Road at St Fillans from a point 75 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with South Lochearn Road to a point 20 metres or thereby east of the extended centreline of its junction with Station Road, a distance 306 metres or thereby.

3. That length of A85 Trunk Road at St Fillans from a point 112 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with Manse Lane to a point 833 metres or thereby west of the extended centreline of its junction with Manse Lane, a distance of 721 metres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of roads involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 21st August 2026 until 18th September 2026 at the offices of Transport Scotland, Fifth Floor, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER and Strathearn Community Library, Pittenzie Road, Crieff, PH7 3JN.
