WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS
COUNCIL (U5042 RECTORY LANE,
TORVER) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Rectory Lane, from its junction with the A5084, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 715 metres.
A suitable alternative route for all traffic will be signed and available via the A584, A593 and the unrestricted section of Rectory Lane.

The Order will come into operation on 24th August 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 10 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
